The NH Run for the Fallen is a 3-mile running event held in Newport, NH on September 20, 2026, dedicated to honoring New Hampshire military service members who have died since September 11, 2001. Posters of fallen heroes line the course, with Gold Star families—those who have lost loved ones in military service—positioned along the route. Participants salute and greet these families at each mile marker to express gratitude for their sacrifice. The event also commemorates all New Hampshire service members throughout history who have died in service.
