The race.
The North East Triathlon takes place on August 23, 2026, in North East, Maryland, featuring five race distances: 54.6K, 44.5K, 44.5K, 32.5K, 31.6K, and 26.6K. The swim portion is a time trial format in Chesapeake Bay. The bike course uses paved country roads with hilly and technical sections interspersed with straightaways, traveling through Elk Neck State Forest. The run course is an out-and-back route on the shoulder heading south of town with rolling terrain. The race location is minutes from I-95.
