Not So Scary Triathlon 2026

The race.

The Not So Scary Triathlon takes place on October 25, 2026, in Gainesville, Florida, and is organized by the Alachua County Youth Triathlon Club. The event welcomes children ages 4 to 15 with five age-grouped race distances. Participants ages 4–6 complete a 50-meter swim, 0.5-mile bike, and 0.3-mile run. Ages 7–8 swim 50 meters, bike 1.3 miles, and run 0.7 miles. Ages 9–10 tackle a 100-meter swim, 2.6-mile bike, and 0.7-mile run. Ages 11–12 swim 200 meters, bike 3.9 miles, and run 1.5 miles. The oldest group, ages 13–15, swims 200 meters, bikes 5.2 miles, and runs 1.5 miles. The event is designed for both first-time and experienced young racers in a community-focused setting.
