The race.

Oktoberfest Run 5K/10K takes place September 26, 2026, in San Diego, CA, organized by The Best Races. Participants can choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 AM, with coordinators remaining on-site for three hours after the first wave. All paces and ages are welcome; runners under 18 must have a guardian present. Registration includes a technical running shirt (shipped to your US address the week of the race), finisher's medal, finisher's towel or giveaway, digital training pack, and online results with certificate of completion. Timing is optional—track your own time using an app or ask coordinators for assistance; no timing chips are used. A virtual run option is also available. Waves fill on a first-come, first-served basis and close when full; waitlist signup is available if your preferred wave sells out.
