The race.

Open Water Swim #3 takes place July 22, 2026, at Innsbrook Resort's Lionshead Beach on Lake Aspen in Wright City, Missouri. Participants may drop in anytime between 5:30 and 7:00 PM and stay for as long as desired. An optional beginner-friendly clinic led by Coach Sally Drake begins at 5:30 PM on shore, covering open water skills including sighting, panic management, swimming in current, and triathlon swim starts. After the clinic, swimmers practice at their own pace with buoys available for sighting practice and navigation. Lifeguards from BYLG and experienced volunteers provide water safety support, and "angel swimmers" are available as buddies for first-time open water swimmers or those requesting one. Inflatable swim buoys and wetsuits are permitted.
