Out of the Ashes 5k & Remembrance Walk 2026

The race.

Out of the Ashes 5K & Remembrance Walk takes place October 17, 2026, in Charlotte, NC, starting at 5 PM at East City Church (6850 Monroe Rd.). The event includes a 5K race and a 1-mile Remembrance Walk beginning at 5:45 PM, with awards and closing ceremonies from 6:30–8 PM. Entry fees are $40 through August 7th, $45 through October 9th, and $50 at packet pickup or race day; children under 10 participate free in the walk with optional t-shirt purchase. Participants may register as team captains to lead teams in honor of a child or family. Proceeds benefit the Out of the Ashes Foundation, which supports couples and families grieving pregnancy loss and infertility through care packs, medical bill assistance, community groups, and therapist-led training for partner organizations.
