About the race
The race.
Outrun Hunger is a 5K charity run and walk benefiting the Dawson Community Food Bank & Thrift, held October 24, 2026, at Yahoola Creek Park in Dahlonega, Georgia. Proceeds support the food bank's assistance to 3,000 local households across Dawson, Lumpkin, and surrounding counties. Finishers receive custom medals and race shirts. Awards are given for overall placement and to top three finishers in age groups spanning 10 & Under through 80+. The event includes a concurrent food drive with raffle entries.
