Paddle Antrim Festival 2026

The race.

The Paddle Antrim Festival takes place September 18–20, 2026, in Elk Rapids, Michigan, featuring a two-day paddle event on the Chain of Lakes Water Trail. Participants can choose from eight distance options ranging from 7 to 32 miles, paddling one or both days based on their ability. Registration includes shuttle service, festival t-shirt, boat number, waterproof course map, overnight boat security, restrooms at launch and checkpoint locations, and access to events at Ellsworth and Short's Brewing Company locations. All participants must be 18 or older and wear a U.S. Coast Guard–approved personal flotation device; kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and surfskis are permitted, with specific hull and length requirements for distances beyond 9 miles. A safety briefing is mandatory before paddling, and no alcohol, marijuana, or other substances are permitted on the water.
