The race.
The Stallings Island Chapter, NSDAR and Augusta University's Jaguar Battalion will host a 5K run and one-mile family fun run on July 4, 2026, in Augusta, Georgia, celebrating the nation's 250th birthday. The 5K begins with a cannon start. Participants may wear patriotic costumes, and military representation is encouraged. Runners must be at least 10 years old for the 5K; younger children may participate in the one-mile run. Pets, strollers, and headphones are not permitted during the event.
