The Patuxent River Kids Triathlon, held August 1, 2026, in California, MD, welcomes participants ages 3–17 of all skill levels. Four age divisions offer different distances: Tiny Tri (ages 3–5) includes a 12.5-yard swim, 75-yard bike, and 50-yard run; Tri-It-Out (ages 6–9) features a 25-yard swim, 1.0-mile bike, and 0.25-mile run; Super Sprint (ages 10–13) includes a 100-meter swim, 2.5-mile bike, and 1.0-mile run; and Half Sprint (ages 14–17) covers a 300-meter swim, 6.4-mile bike, and 1.5-mile run. Race age is determined by age as of December 31, 2026. All participants must hold a USA Triathlon membership; one-year memberships cost $10, or $30 for membership valid until age 18. A $5 family discount applies per additional child registered, excluding Tiny Tri participants.
