About Ann Marie McGhee Every now and then, someone enters the world and leaves it brighter. Ann Marie McGhee was one of those rare souls. A passionate educator, loving friend, and tireless advocate for every child, Mrs. McGhee had a gift for making everyone feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

Her classroom was a place of acceptance, curiosity, and growth. She didn’t just teach—she inspired. Her impact lives on in the lives of her students, colleagues, and the community she served so faithfully at Horse Creek Academy.

Scholarships & Legacy Awards

To continue her legacy, the Foundation awards an annual $1,000 scholarship to a deserving high school senior who reflects Ann Marie’s values:

In addition, the Ann Marie McGhee Award is presented each year to a fifth-grade student at Horse Creek Academy who exemplifies traits Ann Marie held dear—kindness, dedication, helpfulness, curiosity, and school pride.
