Peace Ridge Sanctuary’s 5k Run for the Animals & 1 Mile Fun Walk 2026

Peace Ridge Sanctuary hosts its 5K trail run and 1-mile trail walk on October 3, 2026, at the Northeast Equine Sanctuary located on the border of Albion and Freedom, Maine. The event benefits the sanctuary's animal rescue and care work. The 5K is a 3.1-mile trail run open to all fitness levels, with a separate 1-mile trail walk option. Check-in opens at 9:30 a.m., with the race starting at 11:30 a.m. Activities include pre-run yoga, vegan BBQ, sponsor exhibits, animal interactions, cornhole, scavenger hunts, face painting, and raffle drawings. Awards and raffle prizes are announced at 1 p.m. Registration costs $36 for ages 13 and older, $20 for ages 5–12, and is free for ages 1–4; day-of registration is $40.
