About the race
The race.
The PEAK 7B Youth Triathlon takes place Friday, August 28, 2026, in Sandpoint, Idaho, organized by Engaged Families Inc. Two course options are available: a Mini Sprint course featuring a 100-meter swim in Lake Pend Oreille, 3-kilometer bike ride on the Sandcreek Trail, and 1-kilometer run; and a Sprint course with a 200-meter swim, 4.5-kilometer bike, and 2-kilometer run. Both races start and finish at Sandpoint City Beach. Adult "Athlete Assist" participants earn a t-shirt. Required equipment includes a bike, helmet, closed-toe shoes, and a shirt or tri-belt to secure the race bib.
