Perpetual Motion 2026

The race.

Perpetual Motion offers 6-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour timed runs on December 5, 2026, in Grapevine, TX, on a certified 0.5144-mile paved loop around Lake Grapevine. The 12-hour and 24-hour races begin Saturday at 9 AM, while the 6-hour race starts at 10 AM. Packet pickup occurs Friday from 4–6 PM and Saturday from 7–10 AM at the race location. Aid stations provide standard ultra-running foods (sweet, salty, sour, fruity, chocolate, and bland options with varied textures) during the day, plus hot soups, meals, and drinks at night, with Hammer Heed sports drink available. Finishers receive long-sleeve shirts and unique medals; trophies go to the top 3 male and female finishers in each in-person distance, coins to runners completing 50+ miles, and buckles to those reaching 100+ miles. Free camping and loop parking are available. Awards ceremonies are held Saturday at 4:30 PM (6-hour), 9:30 PM (12-hour), and Sunday at 9:30 AM (24-hour).
