About the race
The race.
The Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run takes place November 7, 2026 at 8:00 am at the Longview Arboretum & Nature Center (West Gate entrance, 100 Grand Blvd, Longview, TX 75604). The event features a 3.1-mile run/walk and a 1-mile option. Proceeds benefit the Texas Oncology Foundation, supporting cancer families in East Texas. Registration closes October 10th; early registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt. All participants receive a race bib, swag bag, and breakfast. Children 12 and under can participate in a free Little Bug Run in the Arboretum gardens. Event registration includes Arboretum admission.
