Pipestem Pumpkin Run 2026

The race.

The Pipestem Pumpkin Run takes place on October 31, 2026, in Pipestem, WV, featuring three distances: a 6.2-mile run, 3.1-mile run, and 1K fun run. Registration opens June 1, 2026, with early entry fees of $25 ($20 for SWVRRC members) and race-day fees of $30 ($25 for members); the 1K fun run is free. The course starts 18 miles north of Princeton on Route 20. Awards include top-three finishers by gender and age groups for the 6.2 and 3.1-mile races, plus top-five overall walkers. The first 80 registered participants receive long-sleeve commemorative 50th-anniversary t-shirts, prioritized for pre-registrants. A Halloween costume contest offers prizes including a one-night McKeever Lodge stay plus cash awards. Homemade baked goods are provided, and electronic timing with immediate results posted online is available. Restrooms are located at Park Headquarters and Canyon Rim Center.
