The Port Oneida Run takes place on August 1, 2026, in Maple City, Michigan, at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore's Port Oneida Heritage Center. Three distances are offered: a 3.1-mile Heritage 5K on crushed gravel and dirt road (8:00 a.m. start), a 6.2-mile Tillers 10K with trail, gravel, and paved roads including rolling hills (7:40 a.m. start), and a 13.02-mile Homesteaders Half Marathon combining dirt, grass, gravel, and paved surfaces (7:20 a.m. start). All races start and finish at the Big Red Barn at Olsen Farm. Registration and packet pickup occur race morning from 6:30–7:40 a.m. Participants receive Dri-Fit running hats (if registered by July 15) and age-group medals for 1st and 2nd place in each gender and age category. Water stations are positioned approximately every 3 miles. Race proceeds support Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the national lakeshore.
