Poultry in Motion is a Thanksgiving Day running event in Waco featuring a 5K timed run/walk and a 1K fun run/walk on November 26, 2026, starting at Indian Spring Park near the Suspension Bridge downtown. The 5K is USATF certified with awards for overall, masters, and age group categories, plus a costume award. Packet pickup occurs Wednesday, November 25 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Waco Running Company (700 Franklin Ave) and race morning from 6:30–8:15 a.m. The 1K begins at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K at 8:30 a.m., followed by a pie eating contest and awards ceremony. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by November 15; race day registration includes an additional fee. Proceeds benefit the Community Cancer Association.
