Powder Keg Trail Run 2026

The race.

The Powder Keg Trail Run takes place August 22, 2026, at Carter Park in Kings Mills, Ohio, behind the Historic Kings Mansion. Runners choose between a 3.5-mile or 5K trail distance, both starting at 9:00 am. The course loops through park trails near the Little Miami River and includes an old dam and a stepped climb. Race day check-in runs from 7:30 to 8:45 am with online registration required; no early packet pickup is available. Age group awards go to top finishers in divisions for men and women, plus randomly drawn door prizes for those present. Registration costs $23.50 ($18.50 for ages 14 and under), with optional short-sleeved t-shirts available for $12. Free parking is available at Kings Elementary School adjacent to the park. A portion of proceeds benefits The Arts Alliance.
