Prairie Moon 5k Pumpkin Fun Run 2026

The race.

The Prairie Moon 5K Pumpkin Fun Run takes place on October 24, 2026, in Lawrence, Kansas, starting and finishing at Prairie Moon Waldorf School. A timed 5K race begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by an untimed fun run/obstacle course under one mile at 10:30 a.m. for younger participants. The 5K course runs along gravel road and the Mud Creek levee trail. Registration costs $35 plus fees for adults 18 and older and includes a t-shirt; youth 17 and under pay $10 with the option to add a t-shirt for $15. Packet pickup is available Friday, October 23rd, from 12:45–1:30 p.m. at Prairie Moon Waldorf School or 3–6 p.m. at Fleet Feet Lawrence downtown, or race morning from 8:30–9 a.m. at the school. All 5K registrants receive a timed bib and are automatically entered in a raffle for a Garmin Forerunner 165 Music watch; additional $10 donations add raffle entries. Post-race activities include pumpkin painting, games, coffee, baked goods, and food trucks.
