The race.
The Race for Education 5K and 1 Mile takes place on September 11–13, 2026, in Fredericksburg, VA, with in-person racing on September 12 and virtual options available September 11–13. Participants can choose a 5K or 1 Mile distance; the in-person 1 Mile is limited to students age 12 and under, while virtual events are open to both adults and students. Race bibs and t-shirts are available for pickup on September 10, 11, and race morning, with t-shirt guarantee for registrations received by August 30. Proceeds benefit the Spotsylvania Education Foundation to support student learning programs in Spotsylvania County Public Schools.
