Railroad Reckoning 2026

The race.

The Railroad Reckoning takes place September 5, 2026, in downtown Birmingham's Railroad Park. Runners start at the Railroad Park Pavilion and complete approximately 0.78-mile loops around the park, with time cutoffs that decrease by 10 seconds each loop, beginning at 12 minutes for the first loop. Participants continue looping until they miss a cutoff or choose to stop. A fully stocked aid station will be available. Finishers receive a custom shirt and a certificate marking total distance; the top 3 male and female runners remaining receive awards. Registration by July 31 guarantees a shirt. A portion of registration fees benefits Freshwater Land Trust, which conserves land and builds trails across Central Alabama.
