Red River Ultrafest 2026

The race.

Red River Ultrafest takes place September 18–19, 2026, in Moorhead, Minnesota, featuring ultramarathon distances completed within timed domains of 3, 6, 12, or 24 hours. Participants choose between run/walk or ruck (35-pound pack) categories, with both genders combined in each. The 5-mile loop course begins in Gooseberry on trails, crosses into Lindenwood, continues north to Dike East, and returns to Gooseberry. The 24-hour race starts Friday at 7:00 p.m., while shorter distances begin Saturday at 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., and 9:00 a.m. respectively. Registration includes a race t-shirt, finisher award, finish pizza, and access to a fully stocked aid station; racers completing 100 miles (run) or 100 kilometers (ruck) receive a buckle. Check-in for the 24-hour race opens Friday at 6:00 p.m.; Saturday check-in opens at 6:00 a.m.
