Reno to the Redwoods 2026

The race.

Reno to the Redwoods is a virtual challenge beginning April 1, 2026, in Soquel, CA, offering two distance options: 300 miles from Reno, Nevada to the Redwoods in Santa Cruz, or 180 miles from Reno to Stockton. Participants may use any form of exercise—running, biking, swimming, walking, rowing, or fitness center machines—to complete their chosen distance at their own pace. Registration opens March 15 with a deadline of April 17 for t-shirt inclusion; local participants can pick up their limited-edition t-shirt and complimentary decal at the WomenCARE office May 18–June 11, Monday–Thursday, 1–5 p.m. The challenge ends July 1, with July 7 as the final day to log miles. All proceeds support WomenCARE, which provides cancer support, advocacy, and resources to women in Santa Cruz County; registration fees include a $35 donation to the organization, with 100% of additional donations going directly to WomenCARE.
