The race.
The River Roux Olympic Triathlon takes place October 10, 2026, in New Roads, Louisiana. The race includes a 1.5K swim in False River with a double-loop course starting and ending at a floating dock, a 40K bike ride on an out-and-back route around False River, and a 10K run. The event offers aquabike, duathlon, and relay divisions with entries limited to 300 competitors. The swim begins at 6:45 a.m. with a self-seeded time trial start. Aid stations on the run course will provide water, Powerade, and gels. Awards and a finish fest take place in a green space across from transition.
