Run 4 Brighter Days 5K 2026

The race.

Run 4 Brighter Days is the 15th annual 5K held September 12, 2026, at Lynches River County Park in Coward, SC, benefiting the Jonathan C. Smith Foundation and supporting brain health and teenage suicide prevention awareness. The kids fun run starts at 8:00 AM and the 5K begins at 8:30 AM, with registration and shirt pickup from 7:00 AM. Entry fees are $35 in advance ($40 day-of) for the 5K, $20 for children 12 and under, and free for the kids fun run (ages 10 and under). All children 10 and under receive a free t-shirt and medal; a virtual 5K option is available for $45 with t-shirt and participation medal mailed after the race (must register by September 1). An awards ceremony follows all finishers, with entertainment and interactive activities at the Environmental Discovery Center. Strollers are welcome, and leashed, friendly pets are permitted.
