Run for Catron County 2026

The race.

Run for Catron County takes place August 28, 2026, in Quemado, New Mexico, with races starting at 9:00 a.m. Participants can choose a 3.1-mile run or a 1-mile run. Early registration through August 11th costs $35 ($40 after that date); children under 12 are $25, and active military and law enforcement receive $30 registration. Packet pickup occurs Thursday, August 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Quemado High School, with race-day pickup starting at 7:45 a.m. The first 100 finishers of the 5K receive medals, and the top three male and female overall 5K finishers receive trophies. Age-group medals are awarded to top three finishers (male and female) in nine categories ranging from 9 and under through 70 and over. Food and refreshments are available at the finish line. Proceeds benefit Catron County.
