About the race
The race.
Run for Rainbow takes place August 15, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio, benefiting University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. The event features a 3.1-mile chip-timed run/walk starting at 8:30 a.m., a 1-mile untimed walk also at 8:30 a.m., and a 100-yard kids fun run at 8:15 a.m. Registration and packet pickup begin at 7:00 a.m. Pre-registration closes August 12; race day registration is available through 8:30 a.m. Participants receive a t-shirt and post-race refreshments, plus all-day zoo admission. The top three male and female finishers in the 5K receive awards. Supporters may purchase wristbands for $12 to access the zoo grounds.
