The race.
Run for the Dogs 5K takes place on August 30, 2026, at 9:00 am in Portland, ME, with a flat course at Back Cove Park. Participants can run or walk, with or without pets on a short lead. Registration includes a t-shirt, finisher medal, dog charm, chip-timed bib, and finish line treats for humans and dogs. Race proceeds support a local animal rescue. Packet pickup begins one hour before the 9:00 am start. Results are posted at www.J3Timing.com and finisher photographs are provided.
