Run for the Elk Race Festival: Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K 2026

The race.

Run for the Elk Race Festival takes place July 26–27, 2026, in Emporium, PA, offering marathon (26.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles), 5K (3.1 miles), and a combo 5K/10K option. The marathon is a certified Boston Marathon Qualifier. Half marathon and marathon participants can opt for an early start one hour before the official race time; 5K and 10K races have no early starts. All finishers receive a medal and t-shirt; first-time half marathon and marathon finishers also receive a commemorative plaque. Additional swag includes running ankle socks and an "I Run for Fun" socks. A 10% veteran discount is available for service members and their families. Race registration is available for both genders and non-binary participants.
