About the race
The race.
Run for the Refuge takes place September 26, 2026, in Oak Harbor, OH, and is organized by Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge to support conservation at Ohio's only National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Participants can enter a 5K run/walk, 10K, 1-mile fun run, or virtual Migration-A-Thon option. All registration fees support the Friends organization and fund habitat restoration, public access improvements, educational programs, and internships throughout the refuge.
