The race.

Run for Wishes is a 5K run or walk held on August 9, 2026, in Stratford, Connecticut, benefitting MAKE-A-WISH® CONNECTICUT. The event starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Little Pub picnic lot in the Lordship section of Stratford. The 5K course is flat and follows roads with views of Long Island Sound. Registration opens May 10 at $33 (or $25 for participants 20 and under), with pricing increasing to $37/$27 on July 27 and $40/$30 on August 3. All finishers are eligible for awards in age groups 9 and under through 80 and older, with overall male and female champions receiving special prizes. Participants receive a guaranteed t-shirt if registered by July 26, and post-race food and beverages are included; those 21 and older receive an adult beverage or non-alcoholic option. Early packet pickup is available August 8 from 8:30–10:30 a.m.
