Run the Vineyards - Down the Shore 5K 2026

The race.

The 14th annual Run the Vineyards 5K takes place October 18, 2026, in Cape May, NJ, starting at 9 AM behind the Cape May Winery. The chip-timed course is mostly flat and paved, including a quarter-mile run through the vineyard, with a one-hour time limit. Race entry includes a custom tech tee (long sleeve upgrade available for $6), a glass of Cape May wine, and a stemless wine glass; finisher medals are available for $8 during registration or $10 race day. The after-party features awards for top three overall finishers and age group winners (14 and under, 15–19, 20–29, and 10-year increments), live music until noon, and food from the winery's Tapas Kitchen. Packet pickup is race day from 7:30–8:30 AM; register by October 4 to guarantee shirt choice. Proceeds benefit the HEADstrong Foundation.
