The race.
The Run to Prevent 5K & 1 Mile Run takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Unity Park Amphitheater in Valdosta, GA. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m., with the 5K starting at 8:00 a.m. and the 1 Mile Fun Run beginning at 9:00 a.m. Awards are presented from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. Early packet pickup is available Friday, September 11 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Central Avenue Church of Christ. Participants who register by August 28, 2026, are guaranteed a race t-shirt; t-shirts for later registrations are distributed while supplies last.
