The race.
Running Scared 5K & 13K takes place October 18, 2026, at Cottonwood Creek Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Organized by Five Star NTP, the event offers three distances: 5K, 13K, and the Deadly Double option combining both races. All finishers receive a long-sleeve race shirt and custom medal. Awards go to the top three overall finishers by gender in each distance, plus top three finishers in Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Masters, and five-year age group categories. The Deadly Double also awards top three male and female finishers. Costumes are encouraged.
