About the race
The race.
Running the Shores is the third annual fundraiser for the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, held August 29, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio. Participants can choose a chip-timed 5K run/walk or an untimed 1-mile walk, with both events starting at 9:00 am from Upper Edgewater West Shelter in Edgewater Park. A virtual 5K option is also available. Registration opens at 8:00 am on race day, with pre-registration available through 9:00 am on Friday, August 28th ($35 for the 5K, $30 for the 1-mile walk). All participants receive a t-shirt with registration; those registering by August 19th are guaranteed their shirt on race day. Awards go to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K. The finish line provides refreshments.
