The race.
The Sabino Canyon One Mile FitKidz Classic is a free running event held on September 26, 2026, in Tucson, AZ, exclusively for children ages 12 and under. Participants run one mile, with entry to the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area free on National Public Lands Day. All child registrations are free; adults accompanying children do not need to register. Finishers receive ribbons, and top three finishers in each gender receive awards. Activities include face painting, a free FitKidz shirt for participants, prizes, and appearances by the FitKidz mascot.
