Sandhills Flyers 5K 2026

The race.

The Sandhills Flyers 5K is a 3.1-mile trail run held September 26, 2026, starting at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, NC, and running through Southern Pines Reservoir Park. The USATF-certified course is timed by Gate City Timing Company. Packet pickup occurs Friday, September 25 from 4–6 p.m. at Pace Yourself Run Co. in downtown Southern Pines, or Saturday morning from 7–8:30 a.m. on campus. Registration costs $30 and closes September 6 to guarantee a race t-shirt. Overall and age-group awards go to the top three finishers. Post-race amenities include food trucks, a photo booth, and massages. Dogs are welcome, and a volleyball game follows at noon.
