About the race
The race.
The Sawmill Trail Runs take place December 5, 2026, at Staunton State Park in Pine, Colorado. Participants may choose from eight distance options: 8.08 miles, 16.4 miles, 16.14 miles, 27 kilometers (virtual at home or at race site), 31.68 miles, 32.8 miles, or 55+ kilometers (virtual at home). Micro-spikes are permitted, and snowshoes are allowed if snow depth exceeds 6 inches. In severe snow conditions, the 50-kilometer first loop may close, requiring 50k runners to complete the 16-mile course twice instead.
