About the race
The race.
The Scorchin' Squirrel Trail Run takes place August 15, 2026, at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center, located 10 miles west of Little Rock, Arkansas. Four distance options are offered: 10 kilometers (1 loop), 11.5 miles (2 loops), 15.5 miles (3 loops), and 19.5 miles (4 loops). All races start at 7:00 am, with a mandatory briefing at 6:50 am, and finish at the Ferncliff pool pavilion. Each loop includes one full aid station and one water drop. Post-race refreshments, including a cookout, are served starting at 10:00 am at the pool area, which opens for swimming after the event. Race day registration is not available; entry must be completed in advance.
