Seventh Annual "Do It Yourself" 5K Walk/Run 2026

The race.

The Seventh Annual "Do It Yourself" 5K Walk/Run, organized by Blessings in a Backpack Chicago, takes place November 7–15, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois. Participants complete the 5K at their own pace and location during the designated window. Registration costs $25 for students under 23, $75 for adults 23 and over, and $175 for families of up to five household members. Those registering by October 9 receive their race t-shirt before the event; later registrations receive shirts by mail. Proceeds support Blessings in a Backpack's mission to provide weekend food for food-insecure elementary school children in the Chicago area.
