Shark Week Showdown 5K, 10K - Austin, TX 2026

The race.

The Shark Week Showdown 5K and 10K takes place July 18, 2026, at Lake Pflugerville Park in Pflugerville, Texas. Participants can choose from five distances: a Kids Dash for ages 10 and under, a 1-mile non-chip-timed course, a 3.11-mile 5K, a 6.22-mile 10K, or a 9.33-mile option. Packet pickup runs from 5:30 to 6:40 a.m., with the Kids Dash starting at 6:55 a.m. and the main races at 7:00 a.m. All finishers in the 1-mile, 5K, and 10K distances receive race t-shirts, finisher medals, and treats. The 5K and 10K are chip-timed and offer age-group awards across 14 categories (10 and under through 70 and older), plus overall male and female trophies and recognition pins for masters runners age 40 and older. Aid stations are positioned along the course. Music plays at the start and finish lines.
