Shark Week Showdown 5K/10K - Corpus Christi 2026

The Shark Week Showdown 5K/10K takes place August 23, 2026, in Corpus Christi, TX at Heritage Park. Participants can choose from five distances: a 50-meter Kids Dash (ages 10 and under), 1-mile course, 5K (3.11 miles), 10K (6.22 miles), or 9.33-mile option. Packet pickup runs from 5:30–6:45 AM, with the Kids Dash starting at 6:55 AM and the main race beginning at 7:00 AM. The 5K and 10K are chip-timed and offer finisher medals, race shirts, and age-group awards across 14 categories (10 and under through 70+); the 1-mile and Kids Dash include medals and shirts but are not chip-timed. Overall winners in the 5K and 10K receive Bigfoot Trophies, and Masters winners (40+) receive recognition pins. Aid stations are positioned along the course, with music at the start and finish lines.
