Shawangunk Valley 5 Miler & 1-Mile Kids Run 2026

The race.

Shawangunk Valley Fire Company hosts this two-distance running event on October 11, 2026, in Wallkill, NY. The 1-mile kids run begins at 8:30 a.m. and the 5-mile run at 9:00 a.m., both starting and finishing at Shawangunk Valley Fire House, 2150 Bruynswick Road. The 5-mile course is a rolling rural loop with a downhill to flat finish; the kids run is an out-and-back route. All finishers receive a medal, and 5-miler registrants by September 21, 2026, receive a long-sleeve t-shirt. Age-group and overall awards are offered for the 5-mile race, plus a first responder category. Headphones, baby strollers, roller blades, and dogs are prohibited.
