The race.
A 5K trail run at Camp Shenandoah in Swoope, VA on October 31, 2026, combining a timed race with a tag-style game where human runners defend three flags against zombie runners attempting to capture them. Human participants start with a head start before zombie runners are released; those protecting at least one flag are marked survivors, while those losing all flags are marked infected. All finishers receive medals, and zombies earn recognition for total flags captured. Proceeds benefit the Virginia Headwaters Council of Scouting America.
