The race.
The Skipjack Run takes place September 12, 2026, in Deal Island, Maryland, offering 5K and 10K distances with a simultaneous start. Both races begin and finish at Deal Island Bridge. The event features professional chip timing, multiple water stops, and refreshments including chocolate milk. Finishers receive long-sleeve tech tees and compete for awards in overall male and female categories, masters divisions (over 40), and age groups; no duplicate awards are given. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit the Deal Island Community Thanksgiving Dinner. Race-day registration is available, and walkers, jogging strollers, and leashed dogs are welcome.
