Slickville 5k Coal Mine Climb & 2 Mile Fun Walk 2026

The race.

The Slickville 5K Coal Mine Climb & 2 Mile Fun Walk takes place on August 8, 2026, in Slickville, PA. Participants can enter either the 5K run or the 2-mile walk; walkers may select from an easier or more challenging route. Registration opens at 7:00 AM on race day, with the event starting at 8:30 AM. An awards ceremony begins around 9:30 AM. All finishers receive a complimentary pancake breakfast with maple syrup. Event sports shirts are available for early registrants. Participants are encouraged to bring canned goods or non-perishable items for the Westmoreland County Food Bank. The day includes additional activities such as a car show, craft and food vendors, children's activities, cow patty bingo, live music, and evening fireworks.
