Smith Mountain Lake Ultra Triathlon 2026

The Smith Mountain Lake Ultra Triathlon takes place September 11–12, 2026, in Huddleston, VA, at Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Seven distance options are offered: 98 miles, 114.4 miles, 138.2 miles, 140.6 miles, 228.8 miles, 276.4 miles, and 281.2 miles. The transition area provides each athlete with a personal setup space, optional tent rental with chairs and table, timing mat, charging station, nutrition area with meals, bike mechanic services, and finish line facilities. Race weekend includes an athlete briefing and pre-race dinner on Saturday, followed by an awards banquet. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon.
