About the race
The race.
The Solar 5k/15k takes place August 9, 2026, in Boston, PA, featuring a 5K run, 15K run, 5K race walk, 100-meter run, and 100-meter kids run. Registration opens at 7 a.m. The course follows a flat rails-to-trails path on crushed limestone, with water stops at mile 1.55 (5K turnaround) and mile 4.66 (15K turnaround). Awards go to the top three male and female overall finishers, masters categories, and top three in each age group from 10 and under through 70+. Preregistered runners receive a race shirt if signed up by the ordering deadline; race-day shirts are available first come, first serve. Proceeds benefit Elizabeth Forward Meals on Wheels. The event is USATF-sanctioned.
