About the race
The race.
This 6.6-kilometer run takes place in Lexington, Illinois on September 5, 2026, as Stop 8 of the Spirits Run Illinois Adventure Series along Route 66. Participants join runner Enric Casacuberta for a 2.1-mile shared segment in support of ALS awareness. All finishers receive a custom bib, a Route 66 charm to add to an official series medal, and access to a post-run community celebration. Event shirts are available for optional purchase during registration. The run benefits ALS awareness through Enric's solo journey across Illinois' Route 66 corridor.
